AILET Previous Years Question Papers Booklet can be collected by depositing cash of Rs.500/- (2010-2018) from the office of the National Law University, Delhi or by sending a DD of Rs.550/- in favour of “Registrar, National Law University, Delhi” payable at Delhi.

Note:

  1. The candidate shall secure minimum of 40% (30% for SC and ST candidates) of the total marks in the AILET to become eligible for the admission. The University reserves the right to keep the seats vacant if there are no candidates who secured minimum cut off marks.
  2. If two or more candidates secure the same percentage of marks in the AILET, their merit will be determined in the following manner and order; (1) On the basis of Percentage of marks in the Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) / Higher Secondary School or its equivalent recognized by the University (2) On the basis of Percentage of marks in the X standard (3) Elder in age will be preferred (4) Draw of Lots.
  3. At least 30% of the total seats shall be filled by eligible horizontal reservation for women candidates including those selected in reserved and foreign national categories.

Note
The admission of foreign nationals however, shall be made based on satisfying the prescribed academic qualifications. They are exempted from taking the admission test. The other rules regarding the eligibility for admission will be applicable to other candidates. The annual tuition fee shall be in Indian rupees equivalent to US Dollars 5,000 for candidates from SAARC countries and US Dollars 10,000 for students from other countries.

2.(I) The total number of seats for Five year Integrated B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) course is eighty . Out of the eighty seats, ten seats are reserved for Foreign Nationals (5 seats for Foreign Nationals & 5 seats for OCI/PIO). In case a vacancy arises under this quota the same shall be filled for General Category in order of merit.

(ii) The selection shall be strictly on the basis of merit as determined by the Entrance Test subject to reservation of 15% (11 seats) for Scheduled Caste candidates, 7.5% (5 seats) for Scheduled Tribe candidates, 5% (4 seats) for Persons with Disability, additional one seat for Kashmiri Migrants and two seats for Residents of Jammu & Kashmir out of the 70 seats to be filled through Entrance Examination.

(iii) The unfilled seats reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates shall be assigned to Scheduled Tribes and vice-versa. If sufficient number of eligible SC and ST candidates are not available to fill such seats, they shall be filled by General candidates.

(iv) If two or more candidates secure the same percentage of marks in the Entrance Test, their merit will be determined on the basis of percentage of marks in the Intermediate Examination (10+2) / Higher Secondary School or its equivalent recognized by the University.

(v) If the merit remains the same, then the marks of 10th standard will be taken into consideration. If still there is no change in rank, then the higher in age shall get preference.

(vi) The unfilled seats under Foreign National Category will be carried over to General Category and filled on Merit.

3. A horizontal reservation of 30% of the total seats shall be filled by eligible female candidates including those selected in reserved and foreign national categories.

4. Selected candidates shall be arranged in the order of merit in each category. A wait - list shall be prepared for each category, so that in the event of a selected candidate not joining, the candidates in the wait-list could be admitted in the order of merit. Admission process shall be completed latest by the 25th day of July of the year or any other date which may be notified by the University.

5. (i) Candidates who are selected shall be intimated about the selection, immediately by the University through email / post / phone / fax and by posting the result on the website of the University. The candidates will be given stipulated time for getting admission, failing which, the offer of admission stands cancelled.

(ii) The same procedure shall be followed in the case of wait-listed candidates.

6. The tuition fee and other deposits shall be paid through ECS/Demand Draft obtained in favour of “Registrar, National Law University, Delhi”. If any candidate fails to join after admission to the course, only 75% of the tuition fee paid will be refunded to the candidates. The non-refundable part of the tuition fees shall be utilized towards financial assistance to deserving students who could not pay the tuition fee on account of their economic backwardness, based on the recommendation of a committee constituted by the Vice-Chancellor.

7. The annual tuition fee for B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) is Rs. 85,000/- (Rupees Eighty Five Thousand only) for Indian Nationals, $ 5,000 (US Dollar Five Thousand only) for candidates from SAARC countries and $ 10,000 (US Dollar Ten Thousand only) for students from other countries along with other annual payments for that year. From the second year onwards the fees may be paid either in one lumpsum or in two equal installments at the commencement of each semester. Such tuition fee and other annual payments shall be paid within seven working days, before the commencement of each semester. If the tuition fee and other annual payments are paid beyond the aforesaid period, it shall be paid along with late fee @ Rs. 10/- per day upto a further period of 7 working days from the expiry of the due date of payment of fee without late fee. If any student fails to pay the tuition fees and other annual payments within the aforesaid time, his/her name will be deleted from the rolls. Such candidates will be readmitted only on payment of admission fee of Rs. 500/-, along with the late fee, till the date of payment, that too, after submission of a satisfactory report from a Professor of this University as regards his / her conduct and performance. However, in deserving cases, the Vice-Chancellor, may waive the payment of late fee and readmission fee, after recording reasons thereof.

8. The University reserves the right of admission to the subsequent year course on grounds of conduct and character.

Note: The mess advance of Rs.21,000/- will be deposited by each student at the commencement of each semester which will be adjusted against monthly mess charges on actual basis.
