 Mr. Risham Garg
Assistant Professor (Law)
B.Com., LL.M.

He specializes in the area of Mercantile Laws. His areas of interest are Contract, Private International Law, Arbitration, Legal Theory. He has an experience of around 7 years as a Lecturer at Amity Law School, Delhi. He has been a visiting faculty at the Indian Law Institute.


He has been a Visiting Research Scholar at UNCITRAL, Vienna, Austria in April 2007. He is pursuing Ph.D. in International Commercial Laws and Arbitration. He has participated in various national seminars and his research papers are published in various leading journals and books.


He has been the Seminar Convenor of a National Seminar on “Alternative Dispute Resolution in the era of Globalization”; and an All India Essay Competition for law students. “ADR in the era of Globalization: An Indian Perspective”.


He has assisted in organizing Workshop on Jurisprudence by Prof. Upendra Baxi, ‘On how not to teach Sociological Jurisprudence’ in August 2007; and Law Day Lecture on ‘Media, Sting Operation and Privacy Law- The Regulatory Dilemma’ in November 2007.


He has presented a paper on ‘Jurisprudential Aspects of Law and Economics’ at Seminar on Law and Economics, IIT Kanpur, in October 2005; “Access to Justice” at Law Faculty, Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi; October 2006; on “Arbitration as the preferred Dispute Resolution Mechanism for Commercial matters”; Seminar at Amity Law School, Delhi, August 2008.
